Nothing new to report. Parts are still in the shop getting cleaned/machined. However, on a great note…..After cleaning the block, it has little wear. Means not too many miles on it, which makes me happy. More to come…………………..

Nothing new to post. Will be taking the engine block in to the shop to be cleaned/machined on Friday. Hopefully, after that is done, and all the required parts are ordered, and set up, all will be well. Pictures to follow once I start getting parts back……

No new pictures yet. It will be a while for new pictures. parts are going to be at the shop a little bit longer. I need 3 new intake valves, which isn’t to bad. I expected worse! My connecting rods are a little out of round, so they will have to be ground out a little. I also need new piston heads, as 3 of them are bad, because the rings were stuck in them. Not as bad as it could have been! I will take the block to the shop next week, so he can clean it, and see if it needs to be honed out, which will dictate whether or not I need standard pistons, or over sized pistons. Either way, it’s getting done right, and the shop is hooking me up with the prices as well. I’d rather pay a little more, than to buy a bunch of one time use tools for this job, and risk jacking something up! It will be worth it in the end. Can’t wait until it’s all said and done! Finally got my fuel pump in. Going to swap it out tomorrow. Still have parts in the shop, should start picking them up later next week. Will put up pics of the fuel pump swap tomorrow…….

No trap door cover today. That will come later this week. I am going to drop off my valves and heads tomorrow to get a 3-angle job done on it. Pics to come next weekend. However, got a 20 gal fish tank today. will pick up fish on Tuesday, most likely………Plenty of pics in the near future!!
Dropped the pistons, camshaft and crankshaft off to get cleaned/polished today. should get those back mid-next week. Now, if my fuel pump comes in tomorrow, I will change that out. Either way, I will make the trap door cover for the fuel pump area tomorrow. Pics to follow once done………..
No updates today. Dropped the heads off at a engine shop to get cleaned yesterday. Should get those back Wednesday. Will take pics and post. Helped a buddy do a brake job today. Tomorrow I will clean some more of the parts, and cut an access hole in the Firebird, as I have to replace the fuel pump. It died…….
